Frequently Asked Questions

I want you to feel fully informed, supported + excited before we even meet. Below are the most common questions I’m asked. If yours isn’t here, just reach out. I’m always happy to help!

How far in advance should we book you?

Weddings typically book 6–12 months in advance. Lifestyle and portrait sessions are best booked 4–8 weeks ahead. I only take on a limited number of sessions per month to give each one the attention it deserves.

How do we book you?

To secure your date + time, a signed contract and retainer fee are required. Everything is done online. Once booked, I’ll send planning guides + all the support you need.

What should we wear for our session?

I’m always happy to help with outfit planning! Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and textures photograph beautifully. Avoid neon or busy patterns. When in doubt, choose something comfortable that feels like you. I can also send inspo + suggestions if you’d like!

Do you offer mini sessions?

Yes — but only certain times of the year. I will post about the mini sessions when they’re available.

Do you retouch/photoshop images?

I edit every final image for colour, light + overall feel. I’ll remove temporary distractions like blemishes or scratches but I do not alter your natural features. You are beautiful exactly as you are!

For weddings, can we add extra hours later?

Yes — you can add extra hours anytime leading up to your wedding. Just let me know and I’ll adjust your collection.

Do you offer engagement sessions separately?

Yes, if it is not included in a collection you can add it on or as a stand alone!

What is the benefit of a second photographer?

A second photographer means double the angles, more candid moments, and coverage of both partners getting ready. It’s the best way to insure nothing is missed!

What happens if we’re late?

Session times are fixed, so late arrivals shorten your shooting time.

What happens if our wedding runs behind?

I am flexible, calm + adaptable. It’s your day and you don’t need to worry about me, I’m there to capture it as it unfolds, no matter how that happens. Extra hours can also always be added.

Do you travel for weddings or sessions?

Yes! I’m based in Winnipeg but available to travel across Manitoba and beyond. Let me know where your love story is taking place. I’m always up for an adventure.

What’s your photography style?

My style is warm, candid, and story-driven. I focus on natural light, raw emotion, and the little in-between moments. Think less stiff posing, more you being you.

Do you have backup gear/are you insured?

Yes — I’m fully insured and I bring a backup camera body, lenses, batteries and SD cards to every wedding.

How do we receive our photos + how long do you keep our photos?

In an online gallery for download. Lifestyle sessions will be available for 6 weeks and weddings 1 year. I recommend always download your gallery right away and storing your photos somewhere safe. I keep your edited photos archived for one year.

Do you photograph LGBTQIA+ couples?

Always. Love is love + every story deserves to be documented with heart and intention.

How many photos do we get?

You’ll receive a curated, fully-edited gallery. Weddings usually include 400–800 images depending on hours of coverage. Lifestyle sessions typically include 50–100 images.

When will we receive our photos?

Wedding galleries are delivered within 6–10 weeks. Lifestyle sessions are usually ready in 2–3 weeks. I’ll always keep you updated!

What if it rains or the weather is bad?

We’ll make magic no matter the weather. I’m experienced working in all lighting conditions and always have a backup plan. And honestly? Some of my favorite photos were taken on rainy days.

Do you help with posing? We’re a bit awkward.

That’s my job! I guide you with gentle prompts so nothing feels forced. Most of my clients say, “We’re so awkward!”—and then absolutely crush it in front of the camera.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. I believe photography is an investment in your memories, and I’m happy to set up a custom payment plan to make things easier.

Do you deliver raw (unedited) photos?

Nope. I only deliver the final, edited images that reflect my style and standard. You’re hiring me for my creative vision from start to finish.

Can we print our photos?

Yes, and I encourage you to! Your gallery includes high-resolution images with full personal printing rights.

What happens if you get sick or can’t make it?

In the unlikely event I can’t be there, I have a network of trusted photographers with a similar style who can step in. You’ll always be covered.

Before your session mini guide:

Arrive 5-10 minutes early, bring any touch up items you may need + dress in outfits that make you feel comfortable + confident. If kiddos are coming, snacks + breaks are encouraged. Most importantly — come ready to cuddle, move, laugh + just be yourselves!
